"Great neighbourhood Indian."
Reviewed 25 January 2012 via mobile
Fresh in mind and full to the brim, the buffet selection is fab. For a tenner, you get the choice of 3 veg, 1 beef, 1 lamb and 4 chicken curry's. Throw in a selection of starters and all the sundries and that's great value! Oh, and to top it off, they were super tasty.
Decor is a little out of the 70's, but that's part of the deal and the appeal of this atmospheric little Indian. I'll be visiting again soon.

Great family run curry house. Buffet is great value at £10 inc dessert or tea/coffee. Chasni is great as is the garlic chilli chicken and lamb karahi. Fill up on the garlic nan, which is soaking!

This is a great wee family restaurant to visit for some really great tasting Indian food. Looking from the outside it does not look much, but going on food, the taste is 100% great and the staff are lovely and very willing to make sure your meal is perfect each visit!
There is a choice of a la carte, or Buffett. We go Buffett so we can experience a more range of the foods.
The starters are cooked in small quantities , to ensure freshness for each person. Absolutely delicious pakoras . The main courses (about 7 at least) are all well labelled and the chef is always more than willing to explain how they are cooked and the ingredients. With most Indian restaurants , desert is usually a small selection, including mango kulfi , which is very tasty! I would also recommend a jug of mango lasthi , a drink made with Indian yogurt and mangos.
The only downside of this place is the toilet is down a narrow flight of stairs. The price is great , food awesome, staff delightful! What are you all waiting for, give it a try! -

Came here for the buffet (£10 every night including weekends-although you better book ahead) and was not disappointed. All of this review is based on our buffet experience.
The server told us what table to go to rather than escorting us there, which was a bit fast-foody.
Poppadums are given one per person when you declare your buffet interests, not unlimited on the buffet itself.
The rice is lovely. The naan tasty but greasy.
Beef curry was excellent, very soft beef.
Garlic chilli chicken very tasty too, as was the garam masala.
Overall it's a really solid curry house - however the properly old school decor and toilets may put you off. This isn't fine dining by any stretch of the imaginiation, just a good, solid Indian buffet. -

Took away 2 curries and pakora. Lamb Rogan josh and chicken tikka were both rich, tender and full of flavour. The pakora was just alright, but eaten immediately at table would have been fine. We'll certainly return for more curry.
